1. INTRODUCTION
This package contains the Casus Belli Version 1.2 Beta.
As this package contains a beta version of Casus Belli, a couple of features may not work properly.

Keep in mind that this package is shipped "as-is" and the Casus Belli developpers will take no reponsibility for any direct or indirect damage caused by the use or the installation of the Casus Belli Version 1.2 Beta.


2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

2.1. MAKING A BACKUP COPY OF CASUS BELLI VERSION 1.1
You MUST have Casus Belli version 1.1 installed and ready before your attempt to install Casus Belli version 1.2 beta.
If you don't, you may visit: http://www.casusbelli-mod.com/
   
If you do, you may make a backup copy of Casus Belli version 1.1 release as the version 1.2 beta may require a clean version 1.2 release installation over the version 1.1 after the beta stage is over.

To proceed, just copy/paste the "casusbelli" folder and rename it to something like "casusbelli_v1.1".
   
2.2. INSTALLING CASUS BELLI VERSION 1.2 BETA
Extract the "casusbelli_v1.2_beta.7z" archive into your "casusbelli" folder and replace all the files and folders when prompted.

Your "casusbelli" folder may be located in your Crysis Wars installation folder, under the "Mods" folder.
   
2.3. RUNNING CASUS BELLI VERSION 1.2 BETA
All you need to do is to run: "Launcher.exe"
     
If you want to run Casus Belli in 64 bits, or if the Launcher fails to run, you may run either: "Run Casus Belli No-Launcher.bat" (32 bits) or "Run Casus Belli x64.bat" (64 bits)
   
2.4. SWITCHING FROM CASUS BELLI VERSION 1.2 BETA TO VERSION 1.1
If you want to play Casus Belli version 1.1 online, you will need to switch from the version 1.2 beta to version 1.1.

All you need to do is to:

    rename your "casusbelli" folder to something like "casusbelli_beta1.2"
    rename your "casusbelli_v1.1" folder to "casusbelli".

   
To switch back to version 1.2, repeat the operation in the reverse order as described in section 2.2.


3. PATCHING CASUS BELLI VERSION 1.2 BETA
To patch Casus Belli version 1.2 beta, you do not need to do anything specific.
We included a self-updater into the game that will show up before the main menu as soon as a new patch is found online.

CHANGELOG FOR THE CASUS BELLI VERSION 1.2. BETA (build 4925)

COMMON:
   - Fixed the spawn-on-leader bug that caused players to spawn under the map.
   - Item shop: an item can be un-purchased by clicking it again.
   - Item shop: players can now buy what they previously purchased using the "Purchase last" button.
     Players can also decide to auto-buy what they previously purchased by ticking the "Auto-purchase last" checkbox.
   - Fixed the auto-teambalance so that it will switch the players who joined the team last as soon as they die.
   - Fixed the bug that would allow players to sprint for ever after they get knocked by an explosion.
   - Holding breath won't remove the weapons' recoil any longer.
   - Shadows will remain on the "Best Performance" settings to avoid exploits.
   - Replaced the sparks on the characters' kevlar parts by blood splats.
   - Disabled the hitmarkers by default. Instead, blood splats will appear when players are hit.
   - Replaced the black screen by a red screen when the player is low on health.
   
HUD / MENU:
   - Fixed the mouse cursor showing ingame or hidding in the main menu sometimes.
   - The respawn menu now shows up 2 seconds after death.
   - It is now possible to browse the LAN/Internet servers in the in-game main menu.
   - Fixed the scoreboard score truncated at 360. It will now show the actual score value (e.g. 3600).
   - Moved the "Close" button below the map to prevent players from throwing mortars at the "Close" button's location.
   - The "Backspace" key will now auto-repeat in all the textfields (chat, bug reports, main menu).
   - The flags' capture zones are now shown on the radar/map. They are easier to see on zoom-level 3, though.
   - Players to be switched by the auto-teambalance are notified before and after they are switched.
   - Tweaked the bugs reporting tool interface to make it look like that of the main menu.
   
WEAPONS:
   - Fixed gas mask turning off randmly.
   - Knives are now usable when prone.
   - Machineguns are now EASIER to deploy and WAY MORE efficient.
     The default keyboard key to deploy machineguns is "C".
   - Tar-21 damage nerfed by 5.
   - ShiTens damage increased by 10.
   - Slight Kriss Vector and UZI damage increase.
   
SQUAD DEATHMATCH:
   - Removed the red dots that indicate the ennemy's position on the map.
   
MISC:
   - Casus Belli can now run in 64 bits.
   - The -x64 argument for Launcher.exe will run Casus Belli in 64 bits.
   
NEW MAPS:
   - Ruins which is a new Advance and Secure map.
   - Refinery for the Capture the Intelligence game type.
   
ADVANCE AND SECURE MAPS CHANGES:
   - Common Changes:
      * Tweaked the capture areas' shapes so that they look more circular.
      * The final objectives work like that of the Island map.
      * Replaced some Crysis assets by our own assets.
   
   - No Bravery
      * Slight performance optimization.
      
   - The Dam:
      * The final objective remains unique (bomb-style).
      
   - Bridge:
      * Performance optimization.
      
   - Snowfield:
      * The first T90 tan at village has been removed.
      
CONQUEST MAPS CHANGES:
   - Common Changes:
      * Tweaked the capture areas' shapes so that they look more circular.
      * Replaced some Crysis assets by our own assets.
      * Slight performance optimization.
      
CAPTURE THE INTELLIGENCE / SQUAD DEATHMATCH MAPS CHANGES:
   - Common Changes:
      * Replaced some Crysis assets by our own assets.
   
   - River:
      * Tweaked the Time of Day (ToD).
